Biotech & Environment YES (Young Entrepreneurs Scheme) information
An introduction to the Biotech and Environment YES competitions. YES entrants work in teams to create a hypothetical company bidding for funding to commercialise their ideas. The competition takes place over three days, with a prize of £2,500 and a trip to the USA.
Competing teams receive training from entrepreneurs, patent lawyers, financiers and industry representatives in the business skills necessary to recognise, protect and harness the commercial potential of scientific research outputs.
The Faculty will support one team’s involvement in the competition. This introductory session explains the competition and gives you a chance to talk to previous participants.
